We are a group of Albanian Women living in many countries around the world. Some of us live in the USA , others in Albania, Kosova and many other European countries and Australia. We communicate with each-other via online and our aim is preserving the language, Albanian culture and identity. We would like to express our gratitude to you and to President Bush for your first official visit to Albania, the first of any incumbent US President and First Lady. It is a great honor for Albania, particulary poignant as it comes out of its long period of communism and strides to join and be recognized for its efforts in throwing off the communist yoke it was burdened with for so long and take its rightful place in Europe and the world as a young democracy tackling the transition process.As you know, Albanian women in particular, are those who have suffered the most under either the communist rule or under the serbian regime reppression in Kosova.Your presence there will be reassuring and inspiring to many Albanian women and we thank you from our hearts. We wish you a pleasant stay and an enjoyable visit with Albanians. This is a very important event for our nation, it is of historic value as we are on the eve of the Kosova final status,and Mrs.Bush we could not be happier that You and Your husband are there now to support our nation at this time , and to provide moral support to Kosovars as they wish to join world democracies and take their own rightful path in the world. We are sure You will find that Albanians are the best friends of the USA in the region and that they appreciate US democracy, liberty and values .We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking your time and visiting Albania.
